The pattern. Every fix he tried worked on the symptom and left the cause alone. Botox relaxed the muscle for a few months. A custom guard protected the enamel. Braces straightened the teeth. The clenching kept coming back.

What his dentist said. He asked her why the custom guard wasn't helping. "Most guards are built to save your enamel, not to change what's actually happening with your bite."

The switch. The R3. Soft flat silicone, direct fit straight out of the case. No boiling, no moulding, no impressions and no lab. "It's mechanical support for the bite you already have."

What changed. Five things he keeps coming back to: less brain fog, better sleep, more energy, posture opening up, and his teeth settling. His experience over nightly wear, not a promise.

Before the R3

Three things he tried first

The R3 is the only one of the four he is still using.

💉

Botox for the clenching

It relaxed the muscle for a few months, then the tension came back and so did the appointment and the bill. "A really expensive snooze button."

🦷

A custom guard from the dentist

Moulded to hold his teeth still all night. It protected the enamel and gave the grinding somewhere to happen. "A hard custom guard just gives your teeth a wall to grind against."

📐

Orthodontics

Braces straightened the smile. "Nobody ever asked what else they moved." Teeth are part of what the bite rests on, so moving them moves more than the smile.

What you're getting

The R3, the guard he actually sleeps in

🌙

Worn while you sleep

Overnight, plus a few daytime hours if you want to move faster. No routine to learn.

⟲

Gentle, steady pressure

The flat-plane design supports the jaw without locking your bite, so it can settle where it should.

✓

Ready out of the case

Premium soft silicone, food-grade tested. No boiling, no moulding, no impressions. Backed by a 1-year warranty.

What are the benefits

How did the R3 help Ney?

The changes he comes back to most. His experience, not a promise.

🧠

Clearer days, more energy

The two he noticed first. Less brain fog through the afternoon, and more left in the tank at the end of the day.

🌙

Sleep that actually holds

The R3 is flat and vented, so his jaw is supported and his airway is not crowded. Better sleep is the one he credits the rest to.

🧍

Teeth settling, posture opening

He says his teeth are straightening and his posture is improving. "It's the first thing that's made the jaw feel steady, not shifted." That is what he describes after months of nightly wear, not a promise the R3 makes.

How to use

Three steps. All of them easy.

Find your size

Confused about size? Measure your width.

One measurement decides it: the width across your back molars.

A fresh apple cut in half
1. Cut a fresh apple in half, across the middle.
Upper-teeth imprint pressed into the apple flesh Width · molar to molar
2. Press your upper teeth in firmly, then lift straight out.
3. Measure the width. From the outer edge of one back molar to the outer edge of the other, in millimetres.
4. Match your size. Compare your width to the chart below to pick Medium, Large or XL.
SizeWidth, molar to molar
Medium50 to 62 mm
Large63 to 72.4 mm
XL72.5 mm or more

Tips: use a crisp, firm apple, make sure your teeth are clean and dry, press down evenly, and measure carefully in millimetres. No apple? Cut a piece of cardboard to the shape of your upper arch, or measure the width of a current retainer.

What to expect

Consistency is the whole game

  • Weeks 1-2: the adjustment phase. A little soreness or extra saliva is normal, your soft tissue is adapting, not a sign anything's wrong.
  • Build up gradually: shorter daytime sessions first, then overnights. Ease off for a bit if it ever gets sharp.
  • Over the months: the changes Ney talks about, clearer days, better sleep and easier posture, came from wearing it every night, not from wearing it harder. What he describes is his own experience, not a promise.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How should I start? ›

Wearing it: the standard pattern is overnight plus 2 to 3 hours during the day. Build up gradually with shorter daytime intervals first. The early phase is the hardest and gets much easier after a few weeks.

Early discomfort: sore teeth, achy gums and extra saliva in the first weeks are the soft tissue adjusting, not a problem. Take breaks if it gets sharp, don't push through pain.

Faster results: consistency first, then simple stretches like Bite and Hold alongside the guard.

How does sizing work? ›

Width matters most. Measure the outer edges of your upper molars at their widest point, shown in this size guide.

Medium fits a width of 50 to 62 mm, Large fits 63 to 72.4 mm, and XL is for 72.5 mm or more.

Why does it work? ›

Think of the soft tissue over the skull like a balloon. Grinding your teeth down deflates it over time, what we tend to call "aging." Adding height back with gentle, consistent pressure runs the same physics in reverse.

How many people have done this? ›

Over 30,000 people have started using Reviv appliances and this method.

What is it made of, and what's included? ›

Premium soft silicone, food-grade tested. Your order is the R3 in your chosen size and colour, with its storage case and instructions, backed by a 1-year warranty.
