  • Day and night wear keeps gentle, consistent pressure on the jaw so progress does not stall.

The day guard

RD1 (RevivDay)

  • Slim daytime guard, worn a few hours a day
  • Keeps gentle jaw pressure while the R3 rests
  • Discreet enough to wear around the house
Why both

The R3 works all night. The RD1 keeps it going all day.

Alignment comes from consistent, gentle pressure on the jaw. The R3 delivers it overnight, but your waking hours are dead time. The RD1 fills those hours with a slim daytime guard, so the pressure never fully lets go.

Skull diagram highlighting the curve of spee

We at Reviv believe that there might be a structural root cause

  • There is essentially a set of physics that hold the body up, and teeth play a critical role in this
  • Because of these physics, the skull can essentially collapse inwards due to changes in the teeth
  • The health of the skull is reflected by the quality of the curve of spee (how the upper and lower teeth come together)
  • Orthodontics, extractions and grinding result in the flattening of this curve of spee

We believe the skull can be inflated like a ball

  • Deflating is what we believe causes aging, asymmetry, and is at the root cause of most disease
  • Inflating reverses all of those things and can be achieved with the help of a mouthguard
  • As the skull 'inflates', the curve of spee improves
Where Reviv comes in

The Solution

Man placing the yellow Reviv mouthguard in his mouth

A simple mouthguard addresses this structural collapse at its root cause

  • The mouthguard acts like a doorstop that prevents the jaw from closing
  • This stretches the soft tissue in the mouth and covering the skull
  • When the soft tissue stretches, the skull inflates and the skeleton untwists
Before and after comparison of teeth alignment

The teeth correct as a function of the skull correcting

  • The cranial bones move outwards into better symmetry, the jaw moves to where it should be
  • The teeth are connected to the bones & jaw, and so they 'go for the ride' and straighten as a result
  • The body will function better and be stronger and more flexible as a result
  • The RD1 daytime guard adds waking-hour support on top of every night, so the jaw keeps getting gentle pressure around the clock
The big picture

Reviv makes three big hypotheses about the future of biomechanics

  • May take a few nights to get used to sleeping with it
1 month
  • The mouthguard is starting to get more comfortable
  • You might notice some differences in how your teeth fit together
  • Many users find their jaw feels less tense in the mornings
  • You may notice you're waking up without the tight, clenched feeling
1 year
  • You will likely function better (concentration, ability to handle complexity, etc)
  • There's a good chance you have more energy and stamina than in years
  • You probably will look better than you have in years
2 years

  • Things just keep improving functionally and aesthetically
  • It seems almost difficult to get sick, and you seem to be in a good mood naturally most of the time
Beyond 2 years
  • You're playing for the 'end'
  • Does this process really go as far as this crazy guy, Ken, thinks it does?

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Why pair the R3 with the RD1?

Alignment comes from consistent, gentle pressure on the jaw. The R3 delivers it while you sleep, and the RD1 RevivDay adds a few hours of daytime wear on top, so the jaw keeps getting support through your waking hours too. The R3 carries the night, the RD1 carries the day. That is why we bundle them, at a lower price than buying each alone.

How should I start Reviv? Is there anything to be aware of?

On wearing it: the standard pattern is overnight + 2-3 hours during the day. Build up gradually with shorter intervals during the day first rather than going straight to overnights , that helps the soft tissue adjust. Most folks find the early phase is the hardest part, and it gets significantly easier after a few weeks.

On early discomfort: pretty common in the first few weeks. Sore teeth, achy gums, occasional small sores in the mouth, the lips not closing fully, extra saliva, all signs the soft tissue is stretching, not signs something is wrong. Take it at your own pace, and if the soreness gets sharp, take a short break, a few hours or even a day or two off is fine. Stick with it, but don't push through pain.

On accelerating results: what matters most is consistent use, then stretching to accelerate. We recommend simple daily stretches like the Bite & Hold exercise that works alongside the mouthguard.

On mouth taping: a lot of folks tape at night to keep the mouth closed and help with guard retention while the tissue is still adjusting. Pairs well with the Reviv.

Why does this work?

Think of the soft tissue (fascia & skin) covering the bones of the skull as a balloon. When you grind your teeth down, it is as if you're taking air out of the balloon.

When this balloon deflates, it crushes the skull, which in turn crushes the brain and causes cognitive and neurological issues over time.

In general, we as a society like to call this process 'aging.' But if you grind down your teeth faster, you 'age' faster. The good part: you can reverse the process by using the same physics in reverse, you 'add' height back to the teeth.

How many people have done this process?

Over 30,000 people have started using Reviv appliances and this method.

How does sizing work?

Width is the most important criteria. We recommend measuring the width of the outer edges of your upper molars at their widest point, as shown in this size guide video.

Medium (46mm) fits teens and smaller mouths, Large (53.6mm) fits most adults, and XL (59.6mm) is for adults with larger mouths. The size chart in the gallery shows exact dimensions.

What is the RD1 (RevivDay)?

A slim daytime mouthguard. You wear it for a couple of hours during the day, when wearing the R3 is not practical, so the jaw keeps getting gentle pressure through your waking hours. Premium soft silicone, ready straight out of the case with no boiling or molding, and it uses the same sizing as your R3.

What is the appliance made out of?

Premium soft silicone.
