What Likely Happened to Selena Gomez

Check out the youtube…

The other day, I was on a call with my dad, and somehow, Justin Bieber's name came up.

Surprisingly, my dad was aware of the rumors surrounding Bieber and his wife, Hailey Baldwin—specifically, the alleged marital issues and speculation that she had cheated on him.

Now, I don’t usually pay much attention to celebrity gossip… but when it intersects with my dental theories, I take notice.

This conversation got me thinking about Bieber’s ex—Selena Gomez.

I had a gut feeling: “With all the ups and downs she’s been through, she fits the pattern perfectly. I bet she had orthodontic work.”

So, I did a quick ChatGPT check, and sure enough—I was right. She had braces.

I knew it before I even checked because every time I spot these patterns and investigate their dental history, I always find the same thing. It never fails.

So, let’s dive into Selena’s story today, shall we?

Justin and Selena in 2010 – A Golden Era

Back in 2010, when Selena was 18 and Justin was 16, they were one of the most famous young couples in entertainment.

Both had striking facial symmetry and ideal body structure, which helped them achieve teen idol status.

Their relationship was turbulent, cycling through breakups and reconciliations until their final split in early 2018. Shortly after, Bieber married Hailey Baldwin.

Selena’s Physical Changes & Health Struggles

By 2018-2019, at around 26 years old, Selena’s appearance had noticeably changed. She had gained weight and was dealing with significant health issues

Her challenges weren’t just physical—she had been diagnosed with lupus, requiring a kidney transplant in 2017. On top of that, she faced anxiety, depression, and later revealed a bipolar disorder diagnosis in 2020.

This was a dramatic shift from the structured, vibrant persona she had in her teenage years.

So, what changed? Why did someone with such naturally gifted structure experience such a decline?

The Orthodontic Link

This pattern—celebrities with strong natural features facing significant physical and mental health struggles later in life—is something I’ve observed repeatedly.

And almost every time, there’s a common denominator: orthodontic work.

Sure enough, Selena had braces at 12, before her rise to stardom. But looking at certain photos, she appears to have worn them again around age 15.

This timeline fits the pattern I’ve seen time and time again.

Additionally, the lines of her skull suggest significant negative soft tissue changes—essentially, her facial structure has "deflated" over time.

The Long-Term Effects of Orthodontics

The process of structural collapse typically unfolds over a decade or two.

One key factor is the flattening of the "curve of Spee"—the natural upward curve of the teeth from front to back—which tends to occur when teeth shift after braces or aligners. Since these orthodontic treatments don’t always place teeth in a truly stable position, long-term shifting is inevitable.

Grinding and other dental compensations can accelerate this process. And often, the first round of orthodontics leads to further interventions, like veneers or additional realignments.

In Selena’s case, the timeline makes perfect sense - braces at 12, followed by a decade of gradual changes and potentially further dental interventions, with more significant health issues emerging in her mid-20s.

This progression is very consistent with what I've observed in many others over the years.

Final Thoughts

When you see the same pattern repeat over and over—early orthodontic work followed by physical and mental health issues a decade or two later—it becomes impossible to dismiss as coincidence.

Yet, somehow, the medical community continues to overlook this entirely.

I challenge anyone to find a celebrity who had naturally excellent structure, never had orthodontic work, and still experienced this kind of decline in their prime years.

So far, I haven’t found a single example.

To be clear, this isn’t about criticizing Selena Gomez—she’s been incredibly open about her struggles, which is commendable. Rather, her case is a high-profile example of a widespread issue that affects countless people. The difference is, most transformations like hers happen away from the public eye, undocumented.

Oh, and if Selena followed my approach for two years, could I reverse her physical and mental health issues?

No doubt.

Give me ~5 years with my "fast method," and she’d look even better than she did at 18. 😉
